| Five-day excursion on the Finnmark Mountain Plateau |

Day One
The guide from Holmen Dog Centre meets our guests at the Hotel/airport in Alta. We change into winter clothing at the centre, and review the excursion programme. We drive our dog-truck up to Jotkavannet lake, where the safari starts. After a brief course in dog-driving and safety regulations, we start to cross the Finnmarksvidda plateau to Jotka Mountain Lodge. Each guest drives his or own team. Jotka is the first lodge on the old route across the Vidda from Alta to Karasjok. The route continues into the high plateau, across Jiesjavre, Finnmarks biggest lake, and so to Mollisjok Mountain Lodge, at the very heart of the Vidda. Along the way we eat lunch outdoors, round the campfire. At Mollisjok we care for the dogs again, then take a dip in Mollisjokka lake, having warmed up in the sauna first if requested. Dinner, some good stories, and so to bed.

Day Two
Breakfast for the dogs and ourselves. Day trip with dog-sled. Ice-fishing, weather and ice conditions permitting. Lunch along the way.
Back at Mollisjok the dogs get their daily care, before we sum up the days trip. Dinner, relaxation, sleep.
Day Three
Breakfast for the dogs and ourselves, before we start the todays journey, which runs westwards across the plateau, up to a private cabin just besides the Sami district of Maze. On the way we eat lunch outdoors. When we reach the cabin, we care for the dogs and settle them in. Sauna, then the days vidda dinner with a summary of the days husky journey, and bed.

Day Four
Breakfast for the dogs and ourselves. Today the excursion heads up to the northern end of Jiesjavre, from which we can see the Gaisene mountain range. Outdoor lunch stop with the dogs. Back in the lodge, we care for and feed the dogs, followed by our own dinner, relaxation and sleep.

Day Five
Breakfast for the dogs and ourselves. The safari’s last stage returns to the starting-point at Jotkavannet. Lunch is enjoyed at Jotkla Mountain Lodge. We reach the dog-van, unharness the dogs and stack the equipment. Our guests take their farewell with the huskies and their winter clothing. We conclude the great husky experience at one of the hotels, with an eagerly-anticipated shower and farewell dinner.
Price: 15 500 NOK per person for minimum four, maximum ten persons.
